Are prefolds old fashioned and inconvenient?
Awhile back Diaper Junction had a sale on all their Diaper Rite prefolds. After hearing from multiple people about how great they were I decided getting them cheaper was a good way of trying them out. I already had covers from some All-In-Two diapers I'd purchased for my daughter. (My son is still in pockets.) I only needed to purchase the actual prefolds. I liked that they came in specific sizes knowing that would involve less folding. My daughter was 2 months old at the time so I purchased some small ones and a Snappi to fasten them. After six wash/rinse cycles they were ready to use. I couldn't believe how soft they felt! All the little wrinkles and folds convinced me they'd be quite absorbent.
Once I got the basic 'angel fold' down I found that these diapers were SO much easier to use than I ever imagined. They have a very trim and snug fit and the Snappi makes sure they stay in place. As time goes by and they receive more washings they become even more absorbent. I have never had a single leak while using them. After just a few days of use I was completely sold and wishing I had been using them the whole time with my little girl. They are my go-to diaper every time. Once I earned some Stash Cash I went and bought a few dozen more so they could be my primary diaper for her.

And as far as being 'old-fashioned?' I love it. I love seeing my daughter in her prefold and feeling like I'm almost reaching into the past. She's another of many generations of my family (including myself) to wear this type of diaper. So, if you're like me and are wary of jumping into the prefold pool, take the plunge. You'll be so glad you did!
