Mom's Got a Case of the Monday'sSummer has really been taking it's toll on me. Multiple times a week I find that I have been thinking it was a Tuesday when it was Saturday or worse yet, I get a Case of the Monday's and it's not even Monday!
With the kids out of school I have been sleeping in a "little" more than I normally would and I end up not being as tired at night when I should be going to bed. The later I stay up the later I sleep and the more of a deep sleep I'm in when it's time to get up with the kids, which stinks! This leads to more coffee...it's a vicious cycle!
It's not that I wish they'd go back to school already, it's that I prefer the routine. Sleeping in rocks but not when it affects other parts of your day and life. I quite like my morning routine of drinking coffee and getting the kids up, fed and ready for their day.
This summer, all too often, by the time I look at the clock it's 11am. We're all in our PJ's, the kids haven't brushed their hair so it's all crazy and matted up in the back, one hasn't eaten breakfast yet and the others are ready for lunch! We're all messed up!
Maybe this post should be titled "Every day is Groundhog Day" instead of "A Case of the Monday's"?
