Ask A Diaper Junkie

We are really excited to announce our new blog feature, “Ask a Diaper Junkie.” Each month you will be given the opportunity to submit a question for us to answer on our blog. The question can be absolutely anything related to cloth diapering or Diaper Junction—questions about types of diapers, washing diapers, working here—seriously, ANYTHING! If we choose your question, we will award 100 points to your customer account (which you can redeem for Stash Cash!). Just click on the link below to submit your question and check back with us next week to see if your question was selected.

Why all the hard feelings over laundry soap? It seems if you go mainstream detergent like Tide, half the diapering community gives dirty looks. If you choose a cloth safe detergent like Rockin Green, the mainstream users treat you like you're using dirty diapers! What gives? How do I pick?

There has been a lot of talk recently about being able to use "eco-friendly" fabric softeners on cloth diapers. Is this true? What ingredients limit the use of certain products? Are there any long-term, negative effects of these fabric softeners?

I have a problem! I thought my washing methods were working but now I'm getting yellow staining. I rinse my diapers before washing and then throw through the washer like any other laundry. My son is exclusively breast fed and I'd heard that's all I needed to do. Help! How do I make my diapers back to normal and prevent future staining?

How to deal with cloth diaper buying addiction? Seriously, how does one stop buying diapers? :-) There is always a cute new print coming out, a new brand to try, a new model...how many diapers are "enough"? Looking for support and advice until I bury all my family under a mountain of diapers and leave us broke :-)

Should you prep natural fibers separate from non natural fibers? I was told that the oils from natural fibers can affect other diapers.

Very cool idea! I'll occasionally have questions come up and I'll remember to submit them to you. I'm excited to see what the Junkie has to say. :)

I have sent in a question via the link already and I honestly can't remember what I had asked now. But I was wondering what are some ways I can go about hand washing cloth diapers and the inserts? Along with the pail liner and the wet bag too of course.

I love this option, as a fairly new mom to cloth, to be able to come to a place and ask diaper related questions from experienced mom's is great.

This is a great idea! So many questions and I'm sure I'll have more even after I start using cloth diapers.
