Cloth Diaper Tip

This great cloth diaper tip comes straight from YOU, our fans!

While conversing about how scary it is to wake up to a baby who likes to take their diapers off at night or first thing in the morning...we discovered you all had some great tips!

Whether the diaper is just wet or soiled, no one really wants to take the chance. So you all suggested pajamas!

Put Pajamas on backwards!

The tip, which makes perfect sense it to buy pajamas without feet, or purchase footed pajamas and cut off the feet-then put the pajamas on backwards so your little houdini can not escape their diaper!

Is this a new concept to you or have you discovered other ways to keep baby and their little "surprises" contained until you're ready to change them?

Interesting! I have not had a houdidni baby yet who could get their diaper off if they were wearing clothes. This seems like a really smart idea though.

I've never delt with this at night, but last summer my then 18 month old could take the cover off of his prefold & get it out of his romper without unbuttoning the romper! Not sure how he did this, but thankfully he would bring me the cover so I could take care of it quickly!

This hasn't happened to us yet, and I'm hesitant to cut up my son's pajamas. Hopefully we don't have to resort to that!

Since we started using cloth, my daughter doesn't try to take the diaper off. But if I put a disposable on her, she rips it off! She loves her cloth.

I've never had issues with this but I know people who have that have done the backwards pjs and they say it works great!

My daughter isn't quite strong enough to undo snaps but can definetly get aplix off! we always use zip up pajamas and have no problems… YET :) we will try this if she figures out the zippers

Oh this is so clever!! We've not had issues so far ::knock on wood:: so hoping we don't have to ruin all of our cute pjs to try this. But will definitely have to remember just in case!!

Now I know why I got hand me down jammies with the feet cut off! Lol

None of my kids has ever taken off a diaper and I can't imagine ruining pjs this way.

My daughter never tried this, but will keep it in mind for baby number 2!

Ruining PJ's are not going to stop my kids. I caught her pulling on the diaper so it was while it was still under clothing.

I am going to have to remember for the future. Hopefully I never have to resort to using this trick.

I don't cut the feet off, I just "twist" the fabric around and out the jammies on backwards. Works like a charm!

This is a great idea! I have been there more than once and definitely need to give this a try to prevent any future diaper strips! ;)

Great idea, we will see if my little one can figure out the snaps first.
