Find a Cloth Diaper Shop

Posted by Bryana on 1/1/2011 to Cloth Diaper News

If you are interested in cloth diapering your baby, you may run into a minor problem with the process. You can’t usually find cloth diapers at your local general store, and if you can, there are not many options. But, if you go to a specialty diaper shop that sells baby goods, then you will be able to find the cloth diapers and accessories you need. If you are considering cloth diapering for your baby, you probably already know about all of the advantages of this process. It is more affordable and much less wasteful. Not to mention, you are doing a great thing for your baby’s skin as well because cotton is very easy on the baby’s skin. Cloth diapers are much easier to use than ever before due to developments.

The Inventor Behind FuzziBunz Diapers

Posted by Bryana on 1/1/2011 to Cloth Diaper News

People often wonder what it is about FuzziBunz diapers that make them so unique. The thing that makes the company so different from the rest is the inventor behind FuzziBunz diapers. She has literally revolutionized the world of cloth diapers on her own and made FuzziBunz a completely unique type of diaper.

Do You Have a Local Diaper Shop?

Posted by Bryana on 1/1/2011 to Cloth Diaper News

People often say that they would much rather switch to cloth diapers than disposable ones, but they just don’t know where they can get cloth diapers. The truth is that some people live right by a retailer of cloth diapers and don’t even know it. Do you have a local diaper shop?

CBS Gets "Fuzzi" Reception

Posted by CDB Guest on 12/10/2010 to Cloth Diaper News

We just found out yesterday that our friend Tereson Dupuy, inventor and Head Mom over at FuzziBunz, was asked to appear on CBS's Eye on Parenting video segment to talk about cloth diapers. If you've followed the blog, and others in the cloth diapering community, you know that Natali Morris famously took a month to try her hand at using cloth (we talked about that here, and her husband's take on it here).

What Does Daddy Think?

Posted by CDB Guest on 11/20/2010 to Cloth Diaper News

If you have been following Natali Morris's adventures in cloth diapering, which she has pledged to do for 30 days after the, ah, encouragement of some cloth moms, you may not realize her husband has a video podcast on parenting as well, looking at things from Dad's point of view. We only recently discovered it ourselves. Looking at Episode 14 of Daddy on Board, though, it seems the dads aren't taking cloth as seriously.

Do cloth diapers make you glow in the dark, literally?

bumGenius! Artist Series: from the Jungle to the Jet-Set

Posted by Bryana on 10/7/2010 to Cloth Diaper News

Have you seen the brilliant, bold designs offered by bumGenius! and Chelsea Perry for their Tiny Socialite Collection? We've had a look and think they are absolutely gorgeous. The prints are wild and colorful, and word around the office is that they look perfect for boys and girls to wear. We've discussed on the blog before about gender issues with cloth diapers, with some public opinion wishing for more "masculine" designs, but here we think bumGenius has a good handle on cloth diaper fashion. Right now, we're starting a wait list for the one-size and the elemental cloth diapers, so be sure to stop by and add your name so we can let you know when they're ready to order.

Are we the next generation?

Posted by CDB Guest on 10/6/2010 to Cloth Diaper News

Ah, the good old days...seems every generation has an amazing story to tell about how  their own personal ingenuity and perseverance helped make life a bit more pleasant, even in times of adversity. We may roll our eyes when our elders play the "I used to walk in a blizzard, up a hill, both ways to school" card, though lately the old days of hardship are probably more defined by memories of using (gasp!) dial-up Internet and rotary phones.

Cloth Diapers Help Reduce Waste, Irritation

The Fort Wayne Journal Gazette posted a nice article on green living, which features the use of cloth diapers. We're especially happy to see this passage which refers to mom Deana Snyder's use of cloth:

As if we didn't need another reason to like Matt Damon, some recent surfing around the Internet revealed to us a nice plug for cloth diapers on the Celebrity Baby blog hosted by People Magazine. As it turns out, Damon and wife Luciana are avid cloth diaper parents, with GroVia named as a favorite brand. With a third child on the way this fall, it's our hope this lovely couple will continue green parenting and setting a great example for their kids.

Diaper Wars - Pampers and Huggies battle it out

Posted by Bryana on 8/1/2010 to Cloth Diaper News

Beginning in 1960, and continuing to present day, a high-tech, top secret, expensive, yet lucrative, war has waged daily over the most innocent bystanders on the planet - babies.

Disposable diapers are a 7 billion dollar market, complete with extensive diaper labs and development centers, scientists, chemical engineers, seamstresses, and thousands of testers. Makes the cloth diaper industry seem a bit of an underdog, doesn't it? Gotta love the underdog.

A Revival of Cloth Diaper Services?

Posted by CDB Guest on 7/31/2010 to Cloth Diaper News

There is a resurgence of cloth diaper services popping up all over the United States; I like to think of it as the cloth diaper revival.

While many moms and pops have cloth diapered for years, and couldn't fathom using disposable products on their precious babies' bums, there are always the "newbies" - bravely going where, they feel, no (wo)man has gone before.
