Newborns have very sensitive areas, but none so sensitive as the umbilical cord in its first days. The Kissaluvs Fitted Diapers offer a snap-down front in the Size 0. This is as popular as it is a smart feature. The Kissaluvs Fitted Diapers will not agitate the cord, allowing it to heal easily until the day it falls off. At that point the snap can be unsnapped and the front of the Kissaluvs Fitted Diapers can be worn the same as any other fitted cloth diaper.
Are Kissaluvs Fitted Diapers 100% Cotton?
Kissaluvs Fitted Diapers are not made from 100% cotton. The poly (only 10%) applied to the exterior surface of the Kissaluvs Fitted Diapers increase durability and best of all, add stain-resistance. In addition, the absorbent core is sewn from microfiber to increase absorbency.
Cloth diaper covers are required on Kissaluvs Fitted Diapers
 As you would anticipate with any style of fitted diaper, the Kissaluvs Fitted Diapers require a cloth diaper cover. Yes, the legs contain messes, but moisture can seep through any cotton diaper without a waterproof exterior. Kissaluvs Fitted Diapers are made of absorbent materials on both the interior and exterior surfaces, therefore, they are NOT waterproof in and of themselves.
What diaper cover do we recommend for the Kissaluvs Fitted Diapers? It is our experience that a lightweight pull-on diaper cover works best and offers the trimmest overall coverage. That said, they can be worn with any style of diaper cover suited for a fitted diaper.

PLEASE NOTE: All our Kissaluv Fitted Diapers are pre-shrunk and a natural color made from off-white, unbleached fabric. To help differentiate from the original Kissaluvs Fitted Diapers, the Kissaluvs Fitted Diapers V2 have light brown serging in Size 0 and Rainbow colored serging in the Size 1 and 2 diapers.

Kissaluvs Fitted Diapers won't swallow your newborn!
 The Size 0 of Kissaluvs fitted diapers will wrap snugly on your newborn where other diapers, even the crackly disposable diapers, will seem to literally swallow your newborn whole. You NEED a snug fit on newborns, especially in the first few days when their poop is very liquid and their systems are adjusting to eating outside of the womb; big diapers on newborns simply cannot contain their messes well.
The umbilical cord snap-down front feature of the Kissaluvs Fitted Diapers, as stated above, will protect the umbilical cord stump, alleviating concern over irritation. Even the two rows of snaps that allow for adjustability in the rise, helps parents ease the sizing alongside their newborn's growth.
