100% Indian Cotton Prefolds - Durable & Dependable
Our 100% Indian Cotton Prefolds are a DSQ (diaper service quality) prefold constructed of a sturdy cotton twill. Indian cotton is the preferred material for prefolds as it is absorbent and soft to touch, yet it is strong enough to withstand frequent wash and wear.
How Do I Take Care of My Indian Cotton Prefolds?
Your new prefolds will need to be prepped once you receive them. As a natural fiber, cotton retains some natural plant oils once it is woven into a fabric. The prepping process removes these oils and allows the prefolds to become more absorbent. To prep your prefolds you will want to wash them in hot water with detergent and dry them on med heat. Repeat 2-3 times for white cotton, and 5-6 time for unbleached cotton (unbleached cotton retains more of the natural oils, so it needs a more washes). Once your prefolds are prepped you can begin to follow our general care instrucitons. Your prefolds will quilt up become softer and more absorbent as you continue to wash them.
Care Instructions: Knock solid matter into the toilet. Rinse on cold. Wash on hot with an additive-free detergent, and follow up with an extra rinse cycle. Tumble dry on low or hang to dry. No bleach or fabric softeners. No diaper rash creams.
Available in 6 sizes and your choice of white or unbleached cotton. Our white prefolds undergo a peroxide bleaching process that is safer for your baby and the environment.
