Diaper Rite Diaper Service Quality Diaper Rite™ Prefolds are HERE!

It has taken us several years of research to find what we believe to be the most quilted and absorbent Diaper Service Quality Cotton Prefold Diapers on the market today. Our Diaper Rite™ Prefolds are custom-made in Pakistan using "Indian" cotton; they are unlike any other prefold diaper available online.

Diaper Rite™ Prefolds, like Chinese Prefolds, and other styles of DSQ prefolds, are comprised of 3 vertical panels. Each of the panels differ in the amount of absorbent layers sewn into them. Typically the middle panel is the thickest, since that is the length of diaper that rests directly along baby's stride. The left and right panels have lesser layers than the center panel to keep them from becoming too bulky when wrapping and fastening them around baby with diaper pins/cloth diaper fasteners, or when tri-folding them to lay into a cloth diaper wrap. All of our diapers are comprised of 4x8x4 paneling for maximum absorbency.

The Most Economical Prefold Diaper Available!

Prefold Cloth Diapers are an economical boon to cloth diapering families because they can stand up to the rigors of cloth diapering multiple children over a span of several years of use. Our prefold cloth diapers can also serve as burp cloths, cloth diaper doublers, pocket diaper stuffers, changing pads, cloth baby wipes, dry towels, and when you are finished with your diapering days, cleaning rags.

Diaper Rite Prefolds fit perfectly in most Cloth Diaper Wraps

Unlike Chinese Prefolds and other styles of cotton prefold diapers, our Diaper Rite™ Prefolds boast "Smart Size"; they are cut to lay perfectly inside two of our most popular diaper covers, the Bummis Super Whisper Wrap (as shown above) and the Thirsties Diaper Cover Thirsties Diaper Cover.

The shorter length of our Diaper Rite™ Prefolds decreases bulk that can lead to leaks; these prefold diapers do not have to be folded down to fit into baby's cloth diaper wrap. The increased width gives a fuller fit around baby's waist for added comfort.

Diaper Rite™ Prefolds will hold up under multiple industrial washings, which is why they are identified as Diaper Service Quality cotton diapers. As these cotton prefolds are washed they will get softer, more quilted and more absorbent. In other words, your cloth diaper investment gets BETTER with use.

In addition to being an durable and economical diapering option, Diaper Rite™ Prefolds are also tag-free. Tagless prefolds are easier to use because you do not have a tag affecting the placement of your diaper fastener. No need to be concerned about mixing up the sizes without a tag--our color-coded stitching makes it easy to know which size prefold you are using.

Available in Unbleached Cotton

We know you've done your research if you are here reading about our prefold cloth diapers, so most likely you already know about chlorine bleaching and the negative effects of chlorine bleach. You can be certain that Diaper Rite™ Prefolds are not bleached with chlorine based whiteners. Not only does this add longevity to your cloth diapers (because they will not break down quickly in the wash as diapers bleached with chlorine can and will), but it also less harsh on the environment.

Prewashed, Natural (Unbleached) Diaper Rite™ Prefolds

The edges are sewn with a heavier gauged thread than "traditional" prefolds for longevity and added durability. See the chart below for the relationship between the Diaper Rite™ Prefolds size and thread (stitching) color.

Don't forget a diaper cover!Because our Diaper Rite™ Prefolds do not have a waterproof outer layer, they will require a diaper cover pulled atop, or wrapped around, them. We have a wide selection of cloth diaper cover, as well as cloth diaper fasteners made by recognized companies like Snappi and Dritz.

**Prewashed and Washed Prefold dimensions above are approximate; taken at rest, but can be pulled wider. After prepping and washing, prefold diapers will shrink anywhere from 5-15%. Because of the inherent properties of the cotton, Prefold Diapers not only shrink differently from batch to batch, but even from diaper to diaper. The measurements provided in the chart above are not exact and cannot be guaranteed; they are intended for approximate size selection only.

Great quality diapers! They did shrink up quite a bit but they are very absorbant! The customer service is also amazing. I accidently ordered large instead of medium and they were very fast to respond and was able to switch my order. Would definitely recommend

Note: The sizes listed in the table above do not match our experience because we use the newspaper fold w/ a Snappi and not just tri-folded into the diaper cover. As a newborn, my daughter was 6 lbs. 9 oz., and weighed in at 12 lbs. for her 2-month checkup. So, we used the Newborn size until 8 weeks and then, switched to the Small (purple stitching). At 10 weeks she was still wearing size Small, but it looks like we'll switch to Medium (green stitching) in another week or two. At that point, we'll use Newborns as a night-time insert for pocket diapers or burp rags. We did the standard triple wash/dry before using, but as we were told, they became more absorbent after about 10 wash/dry cycles. Finally, in case you're interested, we use Charlie's Soap (Laundry Power) for our soak/wash cycles.
