Cotton Padded Potty Training Pants aid Potty Independence!

Made to fit loosely for easy on and easy off, these Cotton Padded Potty Training Pants have breathable side panels, wide ribbed leg bands, and can be pulled-on by your child without help. Giving your potty training child this level of independence increases their desire to not wet themselves, as well as gives them a chance to get to the potty, and get their underwear down, before an accident occurs.

The extra padding inside the center panel is a fiber sponge absorbent enough to contain a small accident, while allowing your toddler to feel the wetness. Your child needs to be aware he wet his underwear in order to gain more control; disposable diapers and pull-ups absorb and feel too dry, hindering wetness recognition.

Cotton Training Pants are not intended to be waterproof!

While the Potty Scotty Cotton Padded Potty Training Pant will absorb moisture into the padded center panel, it is NOT designed to be a waterproof training pant. If your child is not yet potty trained, and still wetting heavily, this is not going to be the training pant for her. However, if there are only a few accidents here and there, and you are simply concerned about leaks, use a waterproof diaper cover like the very lightweight Bummis Whisper Pant. Also a pull-on, this nylon pant, unlike a vinyl diaper cover, will not crack and can still "breathe" - keeping your child's skin from becoming too hot and sticky under the cover.

We do offer other styles of cotton potty training pants with outer waterproof layers and absorbent centers, still not overly absorbent so your potty training child is aware when they wet them.

Night-time and Nap-time Readiness

Before using the Potty Scotty Padded Training Pant for naps or night-time be sure your child is ready. While many kids are able to potty train easily with the Potty Training In One Day program, it can take several months, and for some, years, before they can achieve night-time potty control. These training pants are not intended to function as a diaper or designed to absorb like a disposable pull-up diaper might. They are single-use potty training pants and need to be changed and laundered once soiled.
