I would add Thirsties Duos covers to the list! They have really stood the test of time in our family and are also a great price! We use prefolds with them and have so few leeks or problems. Love them!

My stash is almost exclusively Diaper Rite organic prefolds, Diaper Rite pockets, and Flip covers. Tried and true and not much $$ at all!

Agree with this, recently got our first Flips and love them with prefolds!

We started with prefolds & covers because of price and are still using them two years later because we love them so much we didn't try anything else! We use Diaper Rite prefolds and Bummis and Thirsties covers.

Most of my stash is comprised of used or seconds purchased directly from the retailers. If you are looking to diaper economically, prefolds, seconds, and used can save lots.

As a article about inexpensive diapers I'm kind of disappointed you didn't mention flats or the less expensive prefolds (I know everyone's all about organic these days so I guess I know why you just mentioned those). I know you can't cover everything in a blog post but those two kinds of diapers are literally the least expensive option out there even when including the cost of covers and there are a few cheaper than flip (flip are good covers.) It was a good informative post though. I know not everyone wants flats or prefolds. lol
